It’s January and everyone is still all about their ‘new year new me’ diet and exercise routines but what if I had a dessert hack that will outlast our health-obsessed new year’s resolutions?
Nice cream or banana ice cream will literally satisfy all your sweet and unhealthy desires without adding to your waistline. Don’t be afraid, I don’t particularly love bananas but I love this ‘icecream’, it’s flavored so the bananas aren’t overpowering at all. I’ve even got a way to boost it’s flavor and add protein at the same time.

Ingredients for one serving / bowl:
- 1.5 frozen bananas
- 1/4 cup of almond milk (just a big splash)
- 1 scoop of flavored protein powder*
Blend these ingredients, serve quickly and enjoy! To add to the icecream parlour feeling I like to sprinkle chopped nuts, seeds, cocoa nibs even cereal on top to give my ice cream a satisfying crunch.
*I absolutely am in love with Quest Protein. It’s super low calorie per gram of protein and the flavors are to die for – personal recommendations: peanut butter, cookies and cream, vanilla milkshake
